Congratulations to CSUB junior golfer Levi Garcia for his individual title Tuesday at the Purple and Red Invitational in Utah. The team also moved from 11th place all the way up to a tie for fourth after a strong collective round.
As mentioned in the article, Garcia's third round 64 was the lowest round by a CSUB golfer since Kevin Kelbe did it back in 2000. The last time a CSUB golfer won an individual tournament came back during the 2006–07 season when Bakersfield native Brady Baguio won his opening tournament and went on to win two more times that year.
Garcia is one of four new Roadrunners for the 2009–10 season. As you may have noticed, we haven't yet had time to go take some shots of our new players yet but they are coming soon. Hopefully we will get to use a lot of these new pics as it seems the team is off to a great start for the upcoming season.
